We Care Day
On 14 February each year we celebrate We Care Day. Created in 2022 by Equality, Diversity and Inclusion advisor Mercy Kaggwa, We Care Day is about championing our staff and encouraging allyship with the communities within our organisation.
"We Care Day is a bespoke trust initiative that we conceived to help promote belonging across the organisation. It's not just about being part of a staff network, but about a sense of belonging within NCH&C. We want this initiative to support our organisational culture of openness and inclusivity and to celebrate the many cultures that make up NCH&C." - Mercy Kaggwa
Equality, diversity and inclusion events
Part of our commitment to creating a truly inclusive culture at NCH&C means being active in our local community. Every year, NCH&C staff attend and support events across Norfolk and beyond. In 2022 these included Norwich Pride, attending the NHS Employers Disability Summit in London, and a candlelight vigil for Black History Month at The Forum in Norwich.
